The Domaine René Bouvier is a family business that extends over 30 hectares of vineyards exclusively in the Côte-de-Nuits. Located in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Estate has been managed by Bernard Bouvier since 1992.
Their range of wines is composed of 26 vintages, from the Burgundy appellation to the most famous Grands Crus: Charmes-Chambertin or Echezeaux. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand from the 23 hectares of reds and 7 hectares of whites on the property, including a 3-hectare monopole: Marsannay "Le Clos" (white).
The wines produced extend from the ancient vineyards of the Dukes of Burgundy near Dijon to the illustrious commune of Vosne-Romanée. Most of the climats (plots/parcels) lie within the regions of the Marsannay, Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin appellations.
From this partnership were born two of our cosmetic ranges:
- Pinot Noir: made with a unique vintage active ingredient derived from Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir grapes, originating from the old vines of a noble and rare Clos, raised in organic viticulture: “Racine du Temps” (Root of Time)
- Chardonnay: made with a vintage active ingredient derived from "Le Clos" Chardonnay grapes cultivated from biodynamic agriculture.
